St. Matthew - Brady Notes:
The Saints managed to hold off an aggressive St. Matthew- O'Shields team. It was a hard fought contest through the first 3 quarters before the Saints scored 13 points in the 4th quarter, creating a little separation. The Saints were led in scoring once again by Scott Tezza with 11 points. Scottie also grabbed 5 rebounds and played physical defense. Christian Chapman had a well balanced effort, scoring 7 points and grabbing 7 rebounds.The team was led in rebounding by Conor Brady, who had 8 rebounds and 2 points. Conor played shut-down defense as well. Jake Lavender also played very well, scoring 4 points and grabbing 6 rebounds. Quinn Mulligan grabbed one rebound and scored 2 points, securing this week's Ice Cream Rebound award. Hudson Hooker grabbed one rebound. Joey Linus grabbed 2 rebounds and scored 2 points on a very nice shot. Matthew Curtin grabbed 4 rebounds and Drew Markiewicz provided hustle, fighting for every rebound he could get close to. The Saints close the regular season as division champs, boasting a 7-1 record. Next up: The Playoffs!
