It was all Skagit Valley in the first quarter as the Flyers netted two goals and kept the Chiefs at bay until the halftime score of 3-1. Edmonds came back strong in the 3rd quarter winning 6 out of 7 faceoffs and scoring four unanswered goals, earning an 8-4 lead by early 4th quarter. Skagit never gave up and kept things interesting with the work of Brady Morris and Jeff Sourbeer, taking the game to within 2 points with less than 7 minutes left. Morris struck again with 1:15 left in the game, ending an incredible battle of loose ball action by powering the Flyers' final goal. Edmonds held on to clinch the win.

Edmonds rookie goalie Aric Bolinger made an incredible 17 saves, earning him the #5 spot in the D2 ranks overall. Skagit Valley's goalie Collin Davis made 12 saves on the day, 5 of them in the 4th quarter alone.

The Flyers played a very good game and should be proud of what was brought to the field. Edmonds appreciates the sportsmanship and strong play from Skagit Valley.
