Description
Significantly improve your vocabulary as well as your English writing and speaking skills with just a year of Latin. Students who complete two years of after-school Latin at Hillview may be able to place into Latin II at MA. Both classes meets two days per week for one year. Victoria Moore, a Bay Area native, is finishing up her Classics Masters at San Francisco State University where she was awarded the Richard L. Trapp Graduate Latin Teaching Fellowship and earned the Single Subject Latin Teaching Credential. She holds a B.S. in Aerospace Engineering and a minor in Economics from the University of Virginia. Her love of Classical myth, astronomy, and ancient cultures sparked her departure from a thirteen-year modeling, simulation and learning technologies career. In her spare time, she enjoys caring for her vegetable garden, observing the night skies, playing with her dog, and designing games. Class will meet twice per week after school for one hour and size is limited to 15 students. Class Tuesdays, 3:30-4:30 & Thursdays, 2:20-3:30. Fee is $877 per year.
