Five players scored for RGLC lead by Adrienne Leonard with 8 goals. Meredith Harris and Sydney Morrill each had 4 caused turn overs. The RGLC defense held Tacoma to one goal scored by Madison Sollars. RGLC: Adrienne Leonard, 8G, 1A, 4DC; Nicole Larson, 3G, 5GB, 1DC; Carina Riordan 3G, 2GB, 2DC; Meredith Harris, 4GB, 4CT; Sydney Morrill, 3GB, 34CT. Tacoma: Madison Sollars, 1G Stadium Notes: The Tigers traveled to Seattle to encounter something they had not seen all season: sunshine. They battled through the rays of it pouring down on them as they warmed up with minimal Underarmour. The sun proved to be a poor omen for the team as they were shut out offensively until the last five minutes of the game, when Sophomore Madison Sollars finally found the back of the net. Although the score indicates a rout, the Tigers showed impressively on both ends of field. Defense esecially was very strong, denying cutters and stopping fast breaks and forcing Roosevelt to work hard for their goals. Roosevelt showed very admirable patience against the tough Tiger defense, ultimately breaking it down long enough to get off a good shot. Freshman goalie Khaila Courtney showed a great deal of mettle in her first lacrosse game, making 8 fantastic saves. The Tigers did achieve a moral victory, allowing far fewer goals in the second half. Tigers get the opportunity to bounce back against Bellevue on March 20th, this game to be played at Stadium High School.
